Information displayed on your watch

The face displays the time and date, along with information from complication providers you select. This can include battery status, steps, heart rate, weather, calendar events, notifications and other readings offered by your watch or installed apps.

These readings are used locally to draw the watch face. The watch component does not maintain a history of them, upload them to M87Studios or send them to the phone preview. The watch-face package contains no executable app code, declares no permissions and makes no network requests of its own.

Wear OS and independently installed complication providers have their own permissions, services and privacy practices. A provider may obtain or process information using sensors, an account, a phone connection or an online service. Their processing is separate from this resource-only watch-face package. Availability and update frequency depend on the provider, watch and permissions you choose.

Offline phone preview

The Android phone app contains executable code and bundled artwork, fonts and guides for an interactive demonstration. It uses your phone's current time for the clock and sample readings for complication examples. It does not read your actual watch complications, sensors, health history, calendar or notifications, and it does not install or configure the watch face.

The preview runs from files bundled with the app. The phone component requests no network, sensor or account permissions, includes no analytics or advertising SDKs and makes no network requests of its own. Opening Google Play launches a separate app or browser; that service operates under its own policies.

Settings and your choices

Wear OS stores watch-face customization choices, such as themes, complication selections, seconds and always-on settings, on your devices. VANGUARD APEX does not copy these settings to a developer server.

The phone preview saves its demonstration theme, always-on mode, time-format, seconds and field selections locally in the app's browser storage. These choices affect only the phone preview and are not synchronized with your watch. You can reset the preview within the app, or remove its saved preferences by clearing the app's storage in Android settings or uninstalling the phone app. Android app backup is disabled for this component.

You can change or clear a complication using your watch's native face editor or a supported watch-management app. You can manage each provider's permissions through your watch or that provider's settings. You can remove VANGUARD APEX using your watch's face picker or uninstall it using the watch or its supported management tools.

Support correspondence

If you email support@m87studios.com, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use it to answer your request and investigate the issue. We do not use support correspondence for advertising or sell it.

Support email is handled through Cloudflare and Google Gmail. Their services process correspondence under their own privacy policies. We retain messages only as long as needed for the request and applicable legal obligations. You can request deletion by contacting the same address.

Share only the information needed to explain a problem. You can remove personal details from screenshots before sending them.

Google Play purchases

Google Play handles the paid download and payment information under Google's policies. M87Studios does not receive your payment-card details. Store order records may be available to us for support, refunds and accounting.

Reading this policy online

Cloudflare hosts and protects the M87Studios website. It may process ordinary connection information, such as your IP address, browser information and the requested page, to deliver and protect the site. This website activity is separate from using the watch face or offline phone preview. See Cloudflare's privacy policy and the studio website policy.
